ABACE 2015 Student Day: Youth and Dream

The Student Day held on April 16 brought a perfect ending to ABACE 2015.

The forums of the Student Day were held by NBAA and AsBAA. Ed Bolen, President of NBAA, Xia Xinhua, President of China Civil Airport Association and former Deputy Director of China Civil Aviation Administration, Charlie Mularski, Chairman of AsBAA , and many general aviation industry leaders were present at the forums.

The 160 students present at the Student Day forums came from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronauts (BUAA), Shanghai Civil Aviation College, East China University of Science and Technology Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and China Europe International Business School. The forums were carried out through 3 sessions “General Aviation and Conduction”, “Let’s Go Flying with Passion and Enthusiasm” and “Career Planning and Opportunities in General Aviation” that young people concerned with to popularize business aviation culture and education.

Gao Yuanyang, PHD from BAUU, hosted the “General Aviation and Conduction” session. The “Career Planning and Opportunities in General Aviation” session was chaired by Zhukai, GMAA’s representative in China. In this session, leaders in the general aviation industry shared their experience and communicated with the students. 3 pilots shared their most memorable and challenging flying experience with the students in the “Let’s Go Flying with Passion and Enthusiasm” session. These three sessions fully explored college students’ cognition and interest in general aviation.

To fully arouse the students initiatives, Xia Xinhua, President of China Civil Airport Association and former Deputy Director of China Civil Aviation Administration, through his communication with Shanghai airport authority, was able to move the security time ahead of schedule which gave students enough time to attend the static aircraft exhibition and showed his support for the Student Day.

AsBAA and NBAA is dedicated to hold the Student Day as a long-term public welfare program, inviting students from China and Asia for participation and encouraging students to challenge themselves and realize their flying dreams with their youthful energy.
